Copart Cares and Our Cultural Alignment

Our ongoing Copart Cares💙CSR commitment is based around a set of social responsibilities which we adhere to and also encourage our partners, stakeholders, and suppliers to align with.

We strive to provide an open, safe, and fair environment where our teammates can thrive. We also encourage a culture that is committed to giving back to charity and local communities, and we are always seeking to support good causes that are important to both our customer and our teammates.

At Copart we believe that developing strong relationships with our partners, who share the same ethos and values as Copart, is absolutely key to achieving a more socially responsible future.

Continued collaboration as an industry is vital. We are always keen to hear about all the ways you are supporting your own customers and employees; and share ideas and best practice.

We’re pleased to share with you just some of the great things we achieved through our Copart Cares commitment in 2022.

We became an officially accredited Living Wage Employer

We are delighted to have achieved our Living Wage Employer accreditation and demonstrate our commitment to always acting in the right and most responsible way.

By voluntarily paying the Living Wage, we have joined forces with thousands of organisations and businesses across the UK who understand the importance of paying their employees a fair and appropriate wage. We believe this is especially important in the current financial climate.

We launched our Copart Rewards platform

It’s very important to us that all of our teammates feel connected, supported, and valued, so we were very excited to launch our Copart Rewards platform as part of our comprehensive rewards and benefits package.

Copart Rewards provides our teammates with exclusive discounts and offers from a wide range of retailers, a variety of communication and engagement features, and a wide range of financial, physical, and emotional support tools-  including a Wellbeing Hub and a 24/7 Teammate Assistance Programme.

We gave something back

We proudly supported many charitable causes throughout the year in our efforts to make a positive impact alongside our customers, communities, and teammates.

Copart cares about charities

  • We loaned Open Road West Norfolk four modern repairable vehicles this year for the students to work on (to help them gain practical hands-on mechanical skills) and provided brand-new Copart branded overalls for students aged 16+.
  • Once again, we proudly joined forces with other members of the insurance claims industry to support ILC Day, raising funds for the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity by wearing red.
  • Teammates from Wootton and Franklin Court donated essential items to a local appeal for Ukraine, arranged by Bedford’s Polish Club (Stacja Dom Polski).
  • We were delighted to be the headline sponsor of the Make 2nds Count Great Gatsby Gala Ball in Edinburgh, an event which raised over £88,000 for essential research into incurable secondary breast cancer.
  • We supported Giveacar (a not-for-profit business and social enterprise) by collecting vehicles for free after the Twin Town Challenge Car Rally, after which they were sold through our online auctions to help raise money for a range of charitable causes.
  • Teammates from Wootton and Franklin Court organised a charity rounders match and raised £400 for the CHUMS Charity, which provides wellbeing and mental health support services across Bedfordshire.
  • Teammates all across the UK held Macmillan Coffee Mornings, raising over £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
  • We raised £800 for BEN by taking part in their second ‘Big Breakfast’ fundraising event, helping them to continue providing vital health and wellbeing support services to the automotive community.
  •  Our National Account Managers were back at the annual Insurance Endurance networking and racing event again this year, helping to raise £1,700 for The Insurance Charities.
  • Our Copart Movember Team grew moustaches throughout the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.
  • Our Bedford teammates once again supported the All Nations Church Christmas in a Box appeal, donating seasonal food items to All Nations Church, who support the work of the Bedford Foodbank.
  • We closed the year with another favourite annual event for Copart, Christmas Jumper Day, where we put on our festive knitwear to raise money for Save the Children.

We are always keen to support and maximise exposure to charities that are important to our customers, so please do let us know if there are any opportunities for us to collaborate on good causes!Â
