Copart UK Announces Living Wage Employer Accreditation

by | Aug 23, 2022

We’re delighted to announce that Copart UK is now officially an accredited Living Wage Employer!

As part of our ongoing Copart Cares 💙 CSR commitment, we are passionate about always acting responsibly when it comes to the wellbeing of our teammates and paying the Living Wage is just one way that we can make a positive impact.

By voluntarily paying the Living Wage, we are joining forces with thousands of organisations and businesses across the UK who understand the importance of paying their employees a fair and appropriate wage.

Not only is being a Living Wage employer the right thing to do, but it will also help us to attract and retain great people. Of course, we want to be seen as an Employer of Choice, but much more than that we want our teammates to know that we care about them, and this is just one tangible way for us to demonstrate that.

Always Acting Responsibly

Our Living Wage Employer accreditation joins a set of social responsibilities which we support and encourage our partners, stakeholders, and suppliers to align with.

This includes complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, providing an anonymous whistle-blower service, holding regular ‘one-to-ones’ and performance reviews to encourage two-way communication, and embedding equal opportunity awareness into all of Copart’s policies, procedures and training.

Supporting Teammate Wellbeing

In addition to always acting in the right and most responsible way, we think it’s vital to provide our teammates with a wide range of ways to connect and engage, and access financial, physical, and emotional support tools.

So earlier this year we launched Copart Rewards, our new internal communications and benefits platform.

Copart Rewards gives our UK teammates discounts from a wide range of retailers, access to health and wellbeing support via a Wellbeing Hub and keeps them up to date with all the latest Copart news and announcements. We’re pleased to say that engagement levels with the platform have so far been phenomenal!

Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK & Ireland, said:

“Putting our teammates first is one of the most important elements of our Copart Cares CSR strategy, so we’re delighted to achieve our Living Wage Employer accreditation and demonstrate our commitment to always acting in the right and most responsible way.

We know that it’s the dedication and hard work of our people that makes us the success we are today, so we are committed to providing a comprehensive range of benefits and recognition tools, alongside a fair and supportive working environment, so our teammates feel valued and protected.”
