Copart officially presented with Carbon Literacy Trophy

In June, we attended the 2023 Carbon Literate Organisation (CLO) Awards in Manchester where we were officially presented with our Carbon Literacy trophy.  🌎🍃♻️ 💙

Carbon Literacy Trophy

The event celebrated and honoured organisations from across the UK and beyond that have achieved CLO accreditations throughout the past year.

Copart’s HR Director Leanne Carroll and Learning & Development Manager Holly Rose were in attendance to collect our trophy which displays our bronze and silver level accreditation plaques.

We are incredibly proud to have achieved silver level status in record time. We’re now focused on achieving the gold accreditation by delivering the training to 50% of our workforce this year and we’re already making fantastic progress.

The CLO Awards gave us a fantastic opportunity to get together with like-minded organisations and share our sustainability achievements and best practice as a result of our ongoing Plan Net Zero commitment.

Company-wide roll-out of carbon literacy training has been just one aspect of Copart’s ‘Plan-Net-Zero’, our ongoing commitment to tackling climate change and reducing carbon emissions.

This includes a commitment to achieving the ‘Greenest Fleet on the Street’, the setting of science-based targets (SBTi), and the continued expansion of our UK recycling and green parts capabilities.

The automotive sector has a huge responsibility to champion climate action and carbon reduction, and as a global leader and influencer in this sector, we’re proud to be seen as a beacon of best practise by continuously adding to our wide range of sustainability accreditations and initiatives.
