We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant General Manager at our Operation Centre in Bristol, with a salary of £35,000.

Our Operation Centres are the central hubs of our business, receiving and processing hundreds of vehicles every day.
Across Copart UK, we handle over 400,000 vehicles each year, which come in from a variety of sources including many of the world’s leading insurance, finance, fleet, and rental companies, as well as independent dealerships.
Our Operation Centres are fundamental to the lifecycle of every vehicle that we handle. The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in managing the safe and efficient movement and storage of customer vehicles, all the way through from collection to sale at Copart’s patented online auctions.
Strong leadership skills are essential, as you’ll be responsible for the performance of a team of around 67 employees. Supported by the General Manager, you’ll lead, inspire, and motivate the team to ensure efficient operations and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
You’ll monitor service levels for our Bristol Operation Centre, challenging performance issues and identifying appropriate actions and solutions to improve results.
Driving continuous improvement should always be top your agenda and you’d be expected to foster a culture within the team that encourages innovative ideas and suggestions.
You’ll find yourself involved with a range of operational and administrative tasks including compliance with Copart policies and procedures and the security and maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment.
A good head for finance is a must, as you’ll be expected to help manage and control budget and expenditure, ensuring profitable and efficient performance for the Operation Centre.
To be right for this role, you’ll also need to be a people-person and a great communicator, capable of managing and motivating the team at Bristol. This includes coaching, supporting, and challenging the team to succeed and grow.
