Vehicle drop-ins
A process to support our ongoing, phased return to normal operationsAs a part of our ongoing phased return to normal operations, we are now able to accept vehicle drop-ins from sellers. This is by appointment only so we can prioritise the safety of our staff and customers.
We want to accommodate our customer needs whilst maintaining a safe environment. As we progress through our phased reopening, this process will be essential to enable us to increase the number of vehicles we can safely receive.
What to expect from our new process
Scheduling an appointment
Firstly, speak to your day-to-day Copart contact who will kick-off our internal process for you. You will receive a call from our team to book your appointment, shortly followed by a confirmation email with all the information you need.
Please note we can only accept drop-ins scheduled through this process, to make sure we can safely manage the number of people on site.
This process is for sellers to deliver vehicles to an Operations Centre only. Visits to view vehicles will be addressed in future stages of our phased return to normal operations.

Upon arrival at a Copart Operations Centre
All visitors must report to the Gate Marshall, who will then ask for your details in order to confirm your appointment. If the gate marshall isn’t present, please use the buzzer on the gate to let the office know you have arrived.
Once confirmed, the Gate Marshall will direct you to an appropriate bay and will confirm the social distancing rules that are in place.
A member of the Copart team will then arrive to process your vehicle. Please stay in your vehicle until the copart team member advises you otherwise.
Please note that only one person per vehicle will be allowed on site.
Processing your vehicle
All paperwork will be completed by the Copart team member, verbally discussing and confirming all details with you.
Once the collection sheet has been completed, we will invite you to review the information from a safe distance. The Copart team member will make any changes (if required), and will sign as “Covid-19” once everthing is confirmed.
You will then be able to show the Copart team member everything that is present with the vehicle (for example documents or spare keys). Once everything is recorded you can leave the Copart Operatiosn Centre with your copy of the completed and signed collection sheet.

For customers who are buying and selling through Copart
We appreciate that a number of our customers make use of our auction to buy and sell vehicles. As we continue to move towards business as usual at our Operation Centres, customers will be able to drop in a vehicle as they are collecting without having to pre-book.
This will become effective from the week commencing 06 July 2020 onwards. Please note that at this stage we can only accept one vehicle to be dropped off per collection, and each vehicle needs to have been assigned with a lot number in order for us to receive it.
What to expect from this next step in extending our on-site service:
- Contact your Copart Sales team member to notify us of the vehicle you want to sell, and we will assign this for you
- Book your vehicle collection through the Transportation App (link to it)
- When arriving for the collection you can bring in one vehicle to drop in without pre booking
- On arrival please join the self-service queue, and your vehicle being dropped off will be processed as normal once your place has been confirmed.
Please ensure when arriving at the Operation Centre that you bring suitable transportation for your collection and please familiarise yourself with our on-site visitor guidelines.
New safety measures on-site
Over the last few months, we’ve all had to adapt to many different changes, and by now, you will be aware of the changes we’ve had to make to the way we operate.
We’ve been closely following government advice and working with external agencies to ensure that we conduct business in a way that protects the health and wellbeing of both our customers and Employees.
In line with updated advice and guidance, we have introduced several social distancing measures at all our Operations Centres, including perspex screens at our counters, floor markings and a brand-new online queuing system.
Visitor guidelines are available online and at our Operations Centres and are in addition to our usual guidelines which include, but are not limited to the following:
- A high-vis is to be worn on-site at all times.
- No pets or children under the age of 18 are allowed on site.
- Only one person per vehicle will be allowed on site.
