We’re very excited to see things taking shape at our Colchester Operation Centre, with infrastructure upgrades now well underway as part of our ongoing sustainability refurbishment programme and Plan-Net-Zero commitment towards a greener future.
It may be business as usual for Copart Colchester, but exciting new developments are taking place…
As the partner of choice for most major insurers, alongside our continued efforts to expand and improve our range of customer services, we have a responsibility to operate sustainably and ethically.
Our programme to upgrade and replace offices at our nationwide Operation Centres will ensure that going forward our offices are always inclusive, energy efficient, and constructed in an environmentally friendly way.
In line with the blueprint already established by the recent refurbishment of our Bristol Operation Centre, we’re making sure that our new Colchester office will also be ‘fit for the future’!
Once completed, it will offer strong green credentials – with state-of-the-art insulation, low energy LED lighting, and new onsite waste treatment facilities to filter and clean water all contributing towards a sustainable and environmentally friendly office.
With increasing demand for electric and hybrid vehicles continuing to gather pace, we’re taking the opportunity to future proof this location by adding areas for vehicles like these, which require specialist handling, as well as onsite electric vehicle charging facilities.
Other works underway on-site include brand-new areas for vehicle preparation and processing, which will enable vehicle inspections, valeting, and 360° imaging – all helping to provide complete transparency to buyers at our online auctions.
We’re proud that our Colchester Operation Centre is located within a recognised area of outstanding beauty, surrounded by magnificent oak trees. With that in mind, we’re committed to playing our part in helping to improve air quality and encourage nature to the area, so we’ll also be planting additional trees along the entrance road.
The upgrade is due to be completed later this year, so we’ll keep you posted as things progress!
