As we enter the New Year, it means soon, the 16 plate registrations will be registered on new vehicles.
Currently, new vehicles registered between September 2015 and February 2016 will display the 65 plate, but as of March 2016, 16 plates will begin to be registered.
The existing format was introduced by the DVLA in 2001 for all new vehicles being registered. The current vehicle registration plates are two letters, two numbers, a space and three additional letters.
