Supporting BEN, and a local hero

by | May 7, 2020

In times like these it becomes even more clear that we all have a responsibility to support one another. Coronavirus has had a significant impact on the UK workforce and organisations like BEN play an incredibly important role in supporting the workforce in times like these.

We continually support BEN through regular sponsorships, staff fundraising activities and donations, and most recently a staff raffle which raised £265 earlier this year!

BEN have a section of their website dedicated to providing advice and support to those in the UK automotive industry’s workforce who are currently affected by the impact of coronavirus, which we have included as a link below:

Over the past few weeks another national hero has been a source of inspiration to everyone across the country. Captain Tom has now raised over £32million for NHS charities by walking 100 lengths of his garden before his 100th birthday. As our Copart team-mates pulled a staff fundraising effort together, it came to our attention that he is somewhat of a local hero for all of us at Copart, as he lives minutes down the road from our Wootton headquarters. This certainly brought his efforts closer to home.

A big thank you to BEN, for their continued support to the UK automotive industry workforce, and to Captain Tom, for giving us an incredible amount of inspiration at this challenging time.
