To mark World Environment Day, we’re pleased to announce that Copart UK has been awarded a Bronze EcoVadis Medal, adding to our wide range of sustainability accreditations and initiatives.
- We hold the ISO 14001 Environmental Management accreditation as part of our suite of ISO standards.
- We’ve committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) joining over 3,000 businesses working towards reducing their emissions.
- We’re a silver-level accredited Carbon Literate Organisation and are well on our way to achieving gold.
The objective of the EcoVadis methodology is to measure the quality of a company’s sustainability management system through its policies, actions, and results.
Copart underwent a comprehensive assessment of our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, which focused on Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
We demonstrated how Copart integrates sustainability into every stage of our operations and management systems and received a bronze medal for our progress towards sustainability, placing us amongst the top 50 per cent of companies assessed.
And of course, we’re well on the way to achieving our silver medal!
