As part of our ongoing Copart Cares💙 CSR commitment to caring about communities and good causes, Copart teammates proudly supported Christmas Jumper Day 2021 last week to raise money for Save the Children UK.
Christmas Jumper Day is an annual event in the UK, where millions of people put on a Christmas jumper to raise money for Save the Children. All proceeds go towards helping the charity bring essential food, healthcare, education, and protection to millions of children around the world.
At Copart, we’re very proud to have established a culture that is committed to charitable giving, and as well as supporting individual local initiatives, we always enjoy the chance to work together across the UK to support national charitable events.
Copart UK has supported Christmas Jumper Day for many years and it’s a great opportunity to bring everyone together for a worthy cause.
Teammates across our 19 UK locations made a £2 donation to wear their jumpers and raised additional funds through bake sales, raffles, and games.
Our remote and field-based teammates were also able to join in the fun, thanks to Zoom and Teams video calls.
All proceeds raised on the day will go to Save the Children, whose work helps to the improve the lives of vulnerable children all around the world.
Jane Pocock, Managing Director of Copart UK & Ireland, said:
“Copart UK has proudly supported Christmas Jumper Day for many years, and we always enjoy bringing all our teammates together for this worthy cause. This should be a magical time of year for all children, but sadly there are still many children around the world living in extreme poverty. We hope that our Christmas Jumper Day contribution helps Save The Children to bring some magic back into the lives of disadvantaged children by providing them with the essentials they need to feel safe and happy.”
