Copart’s National Account Managers were delighted to be part of the annual Insurance Endurance event, competing with teams from across the insurance industry to help raise money for The Insurance Charities.
Team Copart was pleased to see the return of this popular networking and racing event, which is open to all companies from across the insurance sector.
The event is not only a great opportunity to spend some quality time with our customers, but it is also a major fundraising event for The Insurance Charities which provides help to current and former UK and Irish insurance employees and their families in times of need. This includes financial assistance and practical support to those with health, money, and housing concerns.
Caring about customers, communities, and charities are all important elements of our Copart Cares 💙 CSR strategy. We’re very proud to work closely with our partners and customers to support worthy causes like this, which make such a real and positive difference to people’s lives.
The event was held once again at the PFI Racetrack in Grantham, the UK’s largest outdoor karting circuit. With an impressive 1,382 metre track, it’s the largest outdoor karting circuit in the UK and is the only one to hold an international ‘A’ grade track licence.
As well as a pit-stop challenge and endurance event, this year saw a new exhilarating hour-long sprint race where teams battled it out for the new Sprint Trophy.
National Account Managers, Mark Szefer and David Simmonite, joined forces with a number of Copart customers to form this year’s racing team to take on a formidable group of opponents!
“All in all, it was a fantastic day with some exciting racing and lots of networking opportunities. It was great to spend time with some of our customers, who we haven’t seen in person for a while, and let our hair down and have some fun (they are a competitive bunch!). It was also a great day for meeting new people and starting new relationships.
Most importantly, we were proud to play a part in raising money for a great cause alongside all those that took part.”
David Simmonite – National Account Manager at Copart
“It was great to see the return of the Insurance Endurance event and be part of this year’s fundraising effort for The Insurance Charities, which like all charities welcome the much-needed funds so they can continue to provide the help and support to those that need it.
At Copart, we’re continuously striving to get to know and serve our customers better, so this was a perfect opportunity for our National Account Managers to spend quality time with some of our customers and further strengthen these valuable relationships whilst having some fun at the same time.”
Paula Varley – Account Director at Copart
