Copart’s Performance, Quality & Risk team is recruiting…can you help us to deliver continuous improvement to our customers, communities, and the environment?
A bit about us
We are a leading global online vehicle remarketing and recycling business. We’re part of a huge global family and we handle more than 400,000 vehicles every year in the UK alone.
We currently have circa 1,200 employees based across 19 UK locations…and we’re continuing to grow!
Copart is a business that never stands still and our continuous investment into our teammates, customers, operations, and technology has gained us recognition for performance and best practice within the automotive industry.
We operate a total of six ISO accreditations, which is incredibly unique for a company within the automotive industry and demonstrates the market leading standards at which we operate.
We’re currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and we have some fantastic new opportunities to join our Performance, Quality & Risk team.
The team
The Performance, Quality & Risk department focuses on continuous improvement across all Copart UK’s business functions.
The team plays a vital role in ensuring that our business is working efficiently and effectively, compliance is adhered to, and services are constantly evaluated and improved.
Performance audits, reviewing processes and procedures, and managing and developing internal systems are all part of the team’s responsibilities – alongside identifying training needs and implementing solutions.
The roles
The following roles are field based so you would work remotely, but would be expected to travel to our UK Operation Centres and Head Office when required.
Regional Environment & Health & Safety Manager (2 posts – North & South)
We’re seeking two dynamic, energetic, and motivated individuals, who are passionate about managing and improving environmental and Health and Safety standards and compliance.
The role requires working closely with managers & teammates across our business to implement environmental and Health & Safety initiatives, policies, and procedures and improve employee engagement around environmental issues.
A key focus of the role will be the continuous development of both Environmental and Health & Safety programmes to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory, customer, and corporate requirements. Working towards a Net Zero strategy, as part of our commitment to reduce our impact on the environment, will also be an important part of the role.
We’re looking for people with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge of Environmental and H&S Management Systems and waste management. Candidates will preferably be NEBOSH qualified, and will have experience in problem solving, communications, and negotiation.
Internal (Regional) Auditor – North
The Internal (Regional) Auditor is responsible for ensuring that regular and robust internal audits are completed focusing on both compliance and quality issues, so good attention to detail is a must.
This will include completing our annual site audit programme for Environmental, Health & Safety, Transport, Quality & Standards, and tracking the outcomes and trends to identify areas of improvement and prevent future occurrences.
Providing effective and thorough feedback on audit outcomes and ensuring best practice is understood and shared is an important aspect of the role, so we’re looking for someone with great communication skills.
A good understanding of ISO standards and health & safety/environmental legislation is desirable.

We need someone with great interpersonal skills, who can work with people at all levels across our business and is great at motivating others and changing attitudes!
A training qualification and/or experience of creating and delivering training packages to large audiences is desirable.
