Copart’s Continued Commitment to Performance Management, Quality & Risk

by | Jul 13, 2021

At Copart, measuring performance management, quality, and risk, is quite simply part of our DNA. It is what drives our relentless focus on delivering consistent value growth for our customers.

Working closely with other Copart teams around the globe, and in collaboration with suppliers and customers, we remain committed to the continued pursuit of world-class service and standards in everything we do.

To support this, we are proud to operate six ISO standards: ISO 31000 Risk Management, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management, ISO 22301 Business Continuity, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and ISO Information Security.

As an illustration of the high standards we constantly maintain, our recent re-accreditations in Environmental Management and Health and Safety came with the accolade of ‘no actions required’.

These globally recognised standards demonstrate the robust processes we have in place to proactively identify risk and protect our customers’ assets. They also provide reassurance that we have a comprehensive business continuity plan in place to rapidly overcome any operational disruptions, which proved very timely at the height of the pandemic.

Our Performance, Quality & Risk department has seen rapid expansion and has recently moved into Copart’s new Customer Excellence Centre alongside our Claims Settlement, Customer Support Centre, and Vehicle Engineering teams. This crucial function focuses on continuous improvement across all Copart UK’s business functions, and drives risk and performance management initiatives forward.

Key to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all areas of our business is the expertise and experience of Duncan MacRae, Copart’s Head of Performance, Quality & Risk.

With more than 40 years of experience and skills within the Motor Vehicle Repair Sector and the Roadside and Recovery Industry, Duncan has previously held roles with responsibility for compliance, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, performance management, and quality standards programmes.

With a proven track record for building and motivating teams, and achieving challenging operational and financial objectives, Duncan is focused on maintaining and enhancing the market leading standards at which we operate, including the continued investment into our market leading electric vehicle capabilities.

“We are supporting our customers in a time of great change and growth. We offer market leading services which demand the highest of standards and we have total focus on maintaining and exceeding those standards.

I am working with operational teams across the business to continuously improve our processes, maintain our ISO accreditations, and ensure that all necessary training and development is delivered. By doing this we continue to provide resilience, capabilities and value for our customers.”
