This is a new role, which has been created as part of our continued growth and expansion, so it’s a perfect opportunity to make it your own!
We’re an ever-growing established company that’s looking to centralise our procurement operations and this new role will be part of the set up and expansion of a greenfield procurement department in our thriving, global business.
On a day to day basis, you’ll support our Procurement Manager to implement procurement strategies, develop and manage working relationships, and evaluate supplier performance.
You’ll be a very strong team player, working closely with our Legal Team to ensure business contract compliance, and with our Finance Team to implement joined up processes and identify improvements.
Continuous improvement is always at the heart of everything we do at Copart, so we’re looking for someone who can negotiate and deliver the best value procurement solutions and achieve cost savings for the wider business.
Strong numerical and organisational skills are a must, as you’ll be responsible for managing the procurement of a wide range of goods and services, as well as procurement projects negotiating prices with local, national, and international suppliers.
You’ll also need to be a confident all-round communicator, capable of implementing and communicating agreements to operational management and working closely with internal stakeholders and other members of the Procurement Team to ensure that both customer and business objectives are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring procurement professional who is looking for plenty of responsibility and fast career progression.
At Copart, we always encourage personal development and we are committed to supporting our people in growing their skills, knowledge, and experience.
Although an MCIPS qualification is not essential for this role, we’re looking for someone with a passion for procurement who has the desire to work towards achieving this, with our full support!
It’s a really exciting time to join us…
We’ve shown ourselves to be a robust and resilient business throughout the pandemic, continuing our operations and launching an ambitious growth programme. Our Customer Excellence Centre opened in Bedford earlier this year, housing Copart’s growing customer service functions, including our Claims Settlement, Customer Support Centre, Vehicle Engineering and Operational Audit teams.
We’ve also announced expansions at our Operation Centres in Bristol, Wisbech and York, as well as plans for a new 31-acre site in East Kilbride which will double Copart’s operational capabilities in Scotland.
We’re looking for someone who will strive to exceed our high standards, drive continuous improvement and actively support our Mission, Vision and Values. Could it be you?
