Copart’s Performance, Quality & Risk team is recruiting!

by | Oct 21, 2020

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, our Performance, Quality & Risk department is expanding, and we are recruiting two brand-new roles for this crucial area of our business.

Copart is a leading global online vehicle remarketing business, handling more than 400,000 vehicles every year in the UK alone. We are committed to continuously improving everything that we do, so that we can provide a world-class service to our customers.

Having been deemed an essential service to the insurance sector, we’ve remained operational throughout the pandemic, showing resilience and adaptability during these challenging times.

We’re determined never to stand still and our continuous investment into our people, operations, and technology has gained us recognition for performance and best practice within the automotive industry.

We are part of a global family spanning more than 200 locations across 11 countries.

Copart UK, which was established in 2007, currently has over 1,100 employees across 18 nationwide locations.

Performance, Quality & Risk

The Performance, Quality & Risk department focuses on continuous improvement across all Copart UK’s business functions.

Performance audits, reviewing processes and procedures, and managing and developing internal systems are all part of the team’s responsibilities – alongside identifying training needs and implementing solutions.

We currently have vacancies for a Vehicle Value Manager and a Telephony & Resources Specialist in our Performance, Quality & Risk team.

These are both field-based roles, so you would be based remotely but expected to travel to our UK Operation Centres and Head Office when required.

Vehicle Value Manager

Salary: circa £30,000 per annum

The Vehicle Value Manager will provide vital technical training to our Operation Centres, where all our vehicles are processed and stored, educating teammates on how to use the appropriate systems and equipment to get more ‘non-runner’ vehicles operational.

Vehicles that we can market as being able to ‘Run & Drive’ generate higher returns at auction for our Sellers.

The ideal candidate will have proven technical and mechanical knowledge of vehicles and experience in delivering training, in both one-on-one and group situations.

Confidence – alongside great planning and communication skills – are therefore key requirements.

You’ll be responsible for evaluating vehicle-related training needs across our nationwide UK Operation Centres and creating and delivering effective, consistent training packages using the appropriate technology and resources.

Sarah Oakman, Technical Trainer at Copart UK, said:

“To work in a training role, you need to be a confident communicator who is passionate about inspiring others to learn and develop. Time management and organisation are very important, as we often have several projects running at the same time, and you must be able to prioritise and manage these demands to ensure that all deadlines and SLAs are met.

My role is vital to ensure that our teams are well equipped and confident to deliver the best quality of service we can to our customers. I get great satisfaction from knowing I have contributed towards improving processes, consistency, and efficiency across our business.”

A forward thinking and proactive person would be ideal for this role, as we’d expect you to continuously identify opportunities to improve what we do and how we do it.

You’ll regularly conduct thorough reviews of our systems, processes, and performance to gain an understanding of how to build best practice in the future.

It’s going to be a very hands-on, fast-paced, and exciting new role for the right candidate!

Telephony & Resources Specialist

Salary: circa £23,000 per annum

This new role has been created to support an ongoing drive to improve our telephone systems and call quality.

Our Customer Contact teams handle over half a million calls every year at Copart UK – speaking to Members in over 110 countries who bid and buy at our online auctions, and to Sellers from companies across a range of insurance and automotive sectors.

So that we continue to meet and exceed set service level agreements for our customers, the Telephony & Resources Specialist will be responsible for ensuring we have the right number of people in place at the right time.

We’re seeking someone with a proven track record of success in a similar role, within a contact centre environment or equivalent.

Comfortable with data analysis and presentation, you’ll continuously review telephone performance and activity data to identify trends and resource requirements across the business.

You’ll also be technically minded, as you’ll be expected to keep up to date with new technology and be proactive about suggesting ideas for developing and improving our systems.

And, quality is just as important as quantity in this role! The Telephony and Resources Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring call quality audits and providing feedback to department heads, so will need to be a confident and articulate communicator.

We’re looking for someone who will strive to exceed our high standards, drive continuous improvement and actively support our Mission, Vision and Values. Could it be you?
