Last quarter we announced the investment in 42 new JCB loaders for our Operation Centres, and 150 new purpose-built multi-car transporters that would increase our nationwide transport fleet to over 400 vehicles.
We are delighted that our customers are already seeing the benefits of this investment as we’re already receiving new JCB loaders at our Operations Centres, and new transporters onto our vehicle fleet. By the time we reach the winter this year we will have increased our total number of JCB loaders by 20%, and our transport fleet will have grown by 15%, welcome additions ahead of the busy winter period.
Each of these vehicles enables us to continue to support our constant ambitions to reduce cycle-times and provide the most convenient service for your customers, as we continue to collect 96% of vehicles within one day of assignment.
Our transport fleet capability has been integral to support our continued delivery of essential services to our members and customers alike throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, by enabling us to provide a contactless delivery service to our members, supporting their businesses at a time when we had to close our doors to the public.
