We currently have a vacancy for an Office & Yard Manager at our Operation Centre in Colchester – with a salary of £25,000.
You’ll be wearing two hats in this role, so you’ll need to be a confident multi-tasker, capable of providing supervision and direction across multiple business functions.

Alongside the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of 7 across both the office and yard at Colchester, managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that Copart processes are followed.
Our Operation Centres are the central hubs of our business, receiving and processing hundreds of vehicles every day; which come in from a variety of sources including many of the world’s leading insurance, finance, fleet and rental companies, as well as independent dealerships.
Across Copart UK, we handle over 400,000 vehicles each year and our customers trust us to deliver them the best possible returns.
The smooth running of our Operation Centres is essential to achieving this, so strong leadership and organisational skills are a must.
As Yard & Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement and storage of customer vehicles all the way through from collection to sale. This will involve the management of customer service, dispatch, receiving, auction set-up and vehicle documentation.
You’ll need to be an effective motivator and communicator, capable of inspiring our small and close-knit team in Colchester.
An important aspect of this is training, developing and motivating the team to meet service level agreements and maximise productivity for the Operation Centre. Alongside this, finding someone who will have a genuine passion for the personal development of the team is very important to us.
