June Operations Update

by | Jun 23, 2020

A phased return to normal operations

Over the last few months, we’ve all had to adapt and introduce many different changes, and by now, you will be aware of the changes we’ve made to ensure that we have continued to operate and provide the essential services to you and your customers.

We’ve been closely following government advice and working with external agencies to ensure that we conduct business in a way that protects the health and wellbeing of our customers and our people.

Opening our doors to our customers

We can now welcome our customers back on site at our Operations Centres. To support our customers as business moves towards a new normal, from 29th June 2020 we will be introducing some changes to the way we operate.

What does that mean to you?

In line with updated advice and guidance, we have introduced several social distancing measures at all our Operations Centres, including perspex screens at our counters, floor markings and a brand-new online appointment system, to ensure an efficient and contactless service.

Engineers Inspections

For anyone wishing to carry out an engineer’s inspection please advise your teams that upon arrival at our operation centre the engineer is required to use the online appointment system, they will need to:

  1. Scan the code at the entrance of the yard using a smart phone.
  2. Add some information:
    • Who they are
    • And the purpose of their visit
  3. This will then place them in a virtual queue.
  4. They will need to remain in their car until they receive a notification to go to the office.

Please ask your engineers to provide a list of vehicles, in advance, that they require to inspect so that we can apply a service order.  These can be sent to your National Account Manager.

Visitor guidelines are available online and at our Operations Centres and are in addition to our usual guidelines which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • A high-vis is to be worn on-site at all times.
  • No pets or children under the age of 18 are allowed on site.
  • Only one person per vehicle will be allowed on site.

What does that mean for our Members (buyers)?

  • Collections – our Members can collect purchased vehicles again, but they must be managed through our Transportation App.
  • Vehicle Deliveries – we encourage all Members, where possible, to continue to make use of our mainland UK delivery service.
  • Advanced Payment – all vehicles must be paid for before arrival at our Operations Centre for collection, to minimise contact with our Employees.
  • Entering the office at our Operations Centres – to maintain social distancing, visits into the office area of our Operations Centres should be avoided where possible. If it’s necessary to enter our office to speak with a member of the team, you will be required to book an appointment through our online appointment system and you will be notified when your slot is ready. You are required to wait in your car until you receive your appointment notification. Details can be found on boards at each Operations Centre.
