Germany Growth

Copart has seen a phenomenal amount of growth in Germany, opening many new facilities in fast succession towards the end of 2018 to take the current number of locations to 12.

Copart Germany hit the headlines in November 2018 for opening four new locations near Frankfurt, Mannheim, Nuremberg and South Berlin in merely three weeks, which is testament to the phenomenal level of growth we are seeing in this country.

South Berlin is Copart’s first location in the proximity of the capital city of Germany and Frankfurt is the largest financial centre in continental Europe.

Jay Adair, Chief Executive Officer of Copart Inc. said: “I am proud of the Copart team for helping expand our network of locations quickly in Germany, creating multiple opportunities in the vehicle auction industry in Europe and beyond. I am especially excited about Copart offering services in Berlin.”

Nigel Paget, Chief Executive Officer – Europe, Middle East & Africa added “Opening four new locations for business within three weeks is a remarkable accomplishment. Our investment in technology, facilities, people, and processes speaks volumes about Copart’s commitment to the German market.”

By December 2018, further facilities followed in rapid succession near Aachen, Dortmund, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and West Berlin as part of Germany’s nationwide expansion plan, providing a current total of 12 Copart locations throughout Germany.

Alain Van Munster, Managing Director of Copart Germany said: “We are proud to bring our leading auction technology, processes, and services to the German salvage vehicle market.”

Copart UK have been actively supporting Germany with their continued growth and rapid expansion. UK colleagues helped to source equipment, including new JCB loaders, and went over to Germany to provide valuable operational training and assistance.
