Your vehicle in our care: Our commitment to safe operations

by | Mar 11, 2021

Our primary focus when handling salvage vehicles is minimising risk – everything we do at our Operation Centres is focused on keeping our people safe, and our customers’ vehicles secure. That’s why we have a framework in place, to ensure that our high standards are met across all of our connected nationwide Operation Centres.

Ground level vehicle storage

Every vehicle kept in our secure Operation Centres is stored at ground level, in a uniform herringbone layout. This structure enables us to access each vehicle with maximum efficiency, whilst avoiding any unnecessary risk of damaging vehicles versus multi-level stacking.

Extra protection on our purpose built JCB trucks

Where possible we move all vehicles within our Operation Centres under their own power, however as we handle salvage vehicles there are always a number of vehicles that require specialist handling by our JCB forklift trucks. To minimise the risk of damage to our customer’s vehicles, each of our forklifts are kitted out with bespoke, heavy-duty padding, specially designed for our specific requirements.

360 cameras on our multi-vehicle transporters

Each of our brand-new, custom built, multi-vehicle transporters is fitted with connected forward, rear and side-facing cameras which capture footage of vehicles being loaded and unloaded from our transporters, monitoring their condition. This ensures we have full visibility and accountability for the condition of each of the thousands of vehicles we move each week, whilst the cameras also serve their primary purpose of giving our drivers full visibility around their vehicle to ensure the safety of both our drivers, and other road users.
