Keys can add value to vehicles, not only at auction

Key reading can provide essential information such as a vehicle’s VIN number and mileage, which we use as a potential fraud indicator by identifying any discrepancies between the vehicle and the database.

Newer vehicles are able to have their keys scanned to identify their vehicle. When an eligible key is scanned the database shows the VIN number and last recorded mileage, allowing you to not only match keys to vehicles, but to check the vehicle details for any potential discrepancies.

This service is able to read and match the keys of all of the newer models on the list of top 10 most stolen vehicles in the UK, which adds value to a vehicle at auction. Where there is a commercial benefit, we can also create replacement keys for stolen/unrecovered vehicles to maximise the returns on these vehicles at auction.
