We have expanded our Copart fleet by committing to an investment into a total of 150 new DAF and Volvo based specialist multi-car transporters, which will all be on the road by next year.
Supporting our future growth
Both expanding our existing fleet and replacing older vehicles with more efficient models, the addition of these new 7 and 8 car transporters brings our total fleet to over 250 and will further support the future growth of our industry leading vehicle collection service.
The new transporters are being built to Copart standards by specialist transporter builders Belle Trailers to accommodate their continued growth across the UK. Having extended our existing order with Belle, a confirmed build schedule is now in place.
We anticipate all 150 new transporters to be operational by 2021.
Efficient and compliant
We are continuing to work closely with Belle during production, developing many exciting new features to improve operational efficiency, safety and environmental impact:
- The transporters will be fitted with the latest camera technology to safeguard Copart drivers and other road users.
- They will comply with Direct Vision Standard legislation, which comes into effect in Greater London from October 2020.
- The addition of a new rear ramp will enhance the safe loading of our customers’ vehicles.
- The latest telematics will deliver greater fleet efficiency; further improving business performance and minimising fuel consumption and environmental impact.
