Our near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

This milestone demonstrates our ongoing commitment to aligning our business operations with the latest climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The validated targets commit Copart UK to reduce:

• Absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 58.8% by FY2034, from a FY2024 base year.
• Absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 35% within the same timeframe.

These targets are aligned with the 1.5°C pathway. The target boundary includes land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a globally recognised corporate climate action organisation that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis.

With this validation, Copart UK joins a growing list of companies leading the charge for science-based climate action.
