As a proud champion of equality, diversity and inclusion, we encourage gender balance within the automotive industry and are proud to have strong female representation across all areas of our business, including our senior management team.
We value a diverse workforce, and we champion fair opportunities for everyone.
As we continue to broaden our range of job opportunities, we remain committed to keeping ED&I (for both new applicants and current teammates seeking career progression) at the heart of our approach.
We actively look at female applicants for every role at Copart, including engineers, drivers, and yard operatives, and have many talented female teammates currently working in these positions, and many more, across our business.
In support of achieving gender balance goals within the wider automotive industry, Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK & Ireland, has been a member of the Automotive 30% Club since 2020.
This voluntary network of MDs and CEOs from UK based automotive manufacturing, retailing and supplier companies was founded by Julia Muir in 2016, with the aim of having 30% of key leadership and decision-making roles filled by females by 2030.
With five years to go, 30% Club bosses say the figure is already at 28% with an impressive 40% of the 72 member companies already at or above the 30% target.
Here at Copart, 62% of our operational office teammates, and 47% of our Head Office teammates are female.
And with a female CEO at the helm at Copart UK, with an extensive career spanning over 30 years in the automotive industry, we’ll continue to support this ESG initiative and highlight Copart as a positive example of ED&I best practice.
