We’re delighted to announce that Copart has received the IVR Roadside Safety Award 2024 in recognition of our commitment and innovative approach to training, setting standards, and leading by example when it comes to roadside safety.
We’ve been making significant investment into learning and development, with a strong focus on ensuring the competency and safety of our workforce, and we recently announced our first cohort of ITSAAR/IVR qualified Driver Trainers.
We’re proud to say that Copart is the first vehicle recycling organisation to put employees through the ITSSAR ‘train the trainer’ course with The Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR).
Our qualified ITSSAR instructors have the ability to deliver the VR28 Multi-Deck Transporter module into the salvage and vehicle recycling sector, aligned to the same high standards as those operated within the recovery industry.
The Copart ITSSAR qualified instructors are also currently completing their final assessment to deliver the VR27 Electric and Hybrid Vehicle course to our drivers.
The IVR Roadside Safety Award was presented to Copart at the Professional Recovery Tow Show on 18th September and it was a real honour to receive industry-wide recognition for our commitment to training and safety standards.
Copart was commended for showing commitment to the IVR VR modular training program and for sending our first cohort of Driver Trainers to be part of the scheme and lead the charge for establishing high standards for roadside safety.
“Those you sent were a credit to Copart UK throughout the 10-day ITSSAR course and of course you have been the first within the salvage/recycling sector to “grow your own”. We know this was all about ensuring a good level of safety standard for your employees and it is testament to Copart UK that you have followed through on this.” – Chris Hoare , Chairman of the IVR Group
