This spring it’s full steam ahead for the Copart-sponsored O’Dell Racing Team, with a packed schedule of stock car and hot rod meetings ahead!
The O’Dell racing team, which includes two long serving Copart teammates – father and son Steve and Dean, and Dean’s brother Adam – first received sponsorship from Universal Salvage in 1985. Copart proudly picked up the reins after acquiring the business in 2007 and is proud to still do so today.
Teammate sponsorship is an important part of our Copart Cares 💙 commitment. We’re passionate about making our people feel part of the ‘Copart Family’ and we love supporting activities and causes that are important to them.
We’ve enjoyed a fantastic journey with Team O’Dell over the years, sharing all the highs and lows of their racing adventures and watching the Copart branding flying around hot rod and stock car racing tracks across the UK and beyond!
The boys were back behind the wheel for some challenging races in March. Team Manager, Steve O’Dell, said:
We have raced a couple of times at Aldershot in the Hot Rod this month for the John Butler Trophy, with Dean finishing a respectable 3rd in the final.
The Midland Championship in Hednesford was a lot more difficult with some Irish drivers competing and although we did not obtain the results we hoped for, we’re confident that the next meeting will be better.
Adam raced at Skegness with a 6th place in the final after some brutal racing and he then headed to Northern Ireland in the 2lt stock car to compete in the Irish Open Championship at Nutts Corner.
It’s back to Ipswich on Easter Monday for Dean in the 2lt Hotrod, so if you would like to come and support the team and see them in the pits, racing starts at 1pm (postcode IP4 5TL). Click here for more information
