There’s been no rest for the Copart-sponsored O’Dell Racing Team, who enjoyed another packed schedule of stock car and hot rod meetings throughout September and October.
Teammate sponsorship plays an integral role in our Copart Cares 💙 CSR strategy. We’re committed to making our people feel part of the ‘Copart Family’, so we love to support activities and causes that are important to them.
Copart has proudly sponsored the O’Dell Racing team (which includes two long serving teammates – father and son Steve and Dean) for 14 years, after picking up the reins of their previous long-term sponsorship with Universal Salvage, which we acquired in 2007.
We’ve loved being part of Team O’Dell’s journey over the years and sharing all the highs and lows of their stock car racing adventures. And we’ll never get tired of seeing the Copart branding flying around hot rod and stock car racing tracks all over the country!
Since our last blog post, O’Dell Racing’s schedule has shown no sign of slowing down!
“The highlight was Dean’s performance at the Stockrod World Championships held at Ipswich, where the top seeded drivers from Scotland and Ireland were racing but unfortunately the continental drivers were unable to attend due to Covid restrictions. The build up and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic!”

With 2 qualifing heats for the grid positions, Dean managed 4th in the point tally which put him on the second row outside. After a few hectic laps on the outside, he managed to slot into 3rd place. Over the 35 lap race the top 3 pulled away and Dean maintained his position, securing 3rd place in the world final.
This amazing achievement meant that Dean was ending on a high as now the car has been sold. He will now be concentrating on the challenge of the Hot Rod, having competed in 3 meetings, and still learning a lot in this exciting new venture.
Adam has been busy racing the 2 litre stockcar at the Adrian Flux Arena in Kings Lynn, Skegness, and Cowdenbeath in Scotland. He has had varied results, but always achieves a top ten position.
This is a great achievement for a contact sport that can be very physically demanding at times, and a perfect demonstration of the resilient and determined Copart Spirit!
