Copart colleagues were delighted to be part of the annual Insurance Endurance event, competing with teams from across the insurance industry to help raise money for The Insurance Charities.
The Insurance Charities helps hundreds of insurance employees and their families in times of need. They can help with one-off payments, such as household repairs, provide ongoing financial help and give practical support to those with health, money and housing concerns.
The event was held in June at the PFI Racetrack in Grantham, the UK’s largest outdoor karting circuit. With its impressive 1,382 metre track, ten hair raising bends and challenging straights, it’s considered by many as one of the best tracks in Europe.
Copart’s team, made up of both colleagues and customers started strongly, maintaining the leading position during the early part of the 6-hour non-stop relay. Unfortunately, the rainy conditions took their toll and too many spins resulted in a 7th position finish out of the 15 teams entered.
The insurance endurance event was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, giving us both the opportunity to help raise funds for charity and the chance to spend some quality time with our customers.
John Pritchard, Strategic Development Director at Copart, and team member on the day, said: “It was great to spend more time than normal with our customers and discuss industry-related topics on their radar that we might be able to help with. Copart is very proud to be a people-focused business both internally and externally, and we’re continuously striving to get to know our customers better, so this was a perfect opportunity to further strengthen these important relationships.”
