Driving Development Forward

At Copart, we’re committed to supporting the personal development of colleagues and maximising their true potential, so we’re pleased to announce our new LGV Apprenticeship Scheme which has just produced its first successful graduate.

When the Government introduced the Apprenticeship Levy in April 2017, it gave us the opportunity to invest in apprenticeship schemes within Copart. In 2018, we decided to pilot an LGV Apprenticeship to offer colleagues the chance to gain the recognised qualifications and develop the essential skills to become an LGV Driver.

Dan Hope, Yard Operative at our Wolverhampton facility was the first to commence the apprenticeship and we’re delighted to announce that he has recently passed his Class C+E LGV licence.

“This opportunity has meant everything to me as being supported by Copart to gain a qualification hopefully means I can have a long, successful driving career.” Dan said. “This is by far the best achievement in my work life to date and I have already encouraged other colleagues to apply for the LGV Apprenticeship, as it’s a great opportunity to progress and move forward in your career.”

Following the initial success of the LGV Apprenticeship, we are continuing to develop our apprenticeship scheme.
