This year, we’re proud to have achieved a wide range of environmental accreditations and milestones, all of which are supporting our ongoing Plan-Net-Zero commitment.
☑️ We hold the ISO 14001 Environmental Management accreditation as part of our suite of ISO standards.
☑️ Committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) joining over 3,000 businesses working towards reducing their emissions.
☑️ Silver-level accredited Carbon Literate Organisation and are well on our way to achieving gold.
☑️ Milestone badge from Ecologi for planting 1,000 trees.
☑️ Bronze EcoVadis Medal for our progress towards sustainability.
We’re thrilled that our teammates are also getting engaged and involved with many having purchased trees following their Carbon Literacy training.
From a broader perspective, it’s also great to know that every tree we add to Copart’s virtual forest is contributing to Ecologi’s wider success. As part of a network of over 40k members, we are helping to make a huge environmental impact, with a total of 72 million trees funded and 3 million tonnes of CO2e avoided.
And, as we continue to make fantastic progress towards achieving gold on our Carbon Literacy journey, we’ve been busy extending our ESG commitment out to our supplier chain and promoting positive action against climate change. We’ve been rolling out virtual carbon literacy training sessions to our sub haul network partners and have been delighted to see high levels of engagement.
